George III (1760-1820), pattern silver Sixpence, 1790, engraved by Jean-Pierre Droz, crowned GR cypher, laurel branches around, toothed border around rim both sides, rev. struck en medaille, Britannia seated left on globe with shield holding spear and olive branch, date in legend, BRITANNIA 1790 around, plain exergue, edge plain, 2.62g (Selig -; Bull 2219; ESC 1645). Attractively toned, practically as struck, graded by NGC as PF63.
