Description

Anne (1702-14), silver Post-Union Shilling, 1709, third draped bust left, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, ANNA. DEI. GRATIA., rev. crowned cruciform Post-Union shields, eight strings to Irish harp, garter star at centre, date either side of top crown, abbreviated Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, .MAG BRI. FR ET. HIB REG., edge reeded, 6.03g (Bull 1402; ESC 1154; S.3610). Toned, good detail in portrait, some minor flecking on reverse, graded by NGC as AU58.

NGC Certification 6674007-002

The Latin legend translates as “Anne by the Grace of God,” and continues on the reverse as “Queen of Great Britain, France, and Ireland.”
