XF45 | Australia, Victoria (1837-1901), gold Half Sovereign, 1881, Sydney Mint, young head left, date below, Latin legend surrounding VICTORIA DEI GRATIA, rev. crowned quartered and garnished shield of arms with cross of crown touching border denticles; surrounding BRITANNIARUM REGINA FID: DEF:, edge milled (Marsh 465; S.3862E). Toned with some surface marks, good eye appeal, graded by NGC as XF45.

NGC Certification 6321036-010.

Calendar Year Mintage 104,000.

The obverse Latin legend translates as "Victoria by the Grace of God”, reverse “Queen of the Britons, Defender of the Faith".
