AU DETAILS | Edward VII (1901-1910), matt proof gold Half Sovereign, 1902, Coronation year, bare head right, De S. below truncation for engraver George W De Saulles, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, EDWARDVS VII DEI GRA: BRITT: OMN: REX FID: DEF: IND: IMP:, rev. St. George slaying the dragon with sword, broken lance to lower left, edge milled (WR 411; Marsh 505A; S.3974). Lightly cleaned at some point in its history, but otherwise pleasing, graded by NGC as Proof Details (Cleaned).

NGC Certification 6321036-001.

Calendar Year Mintage 15,123.

The Latin legend on obverse translates as "Edward the Seventh, by the grace of God, King of all the Britons, Defender of the Faith, Emperor of India".
