Kings of Macedon, Alexander the Great (336-323 BC), gold Stater, “Amphipolis”, 330-320 BC, head of Athena right, wearing a crested Corinthian helmet decorated with a serpent, rev. ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ, Nike standing left, with open wings, holding a wreath and stylis, downward-pointing trident head in left field, 8.61g, 8h (Price 172). In NGC holder graded AU, Strike 5/5, Surface 3/5.
