PF66 BN | William IV (1830-37), bronzed proof Penny, 1831, bare head right, plain truncation, date below, legend and toothed border surrounding, GULIELMUS IIII DEI GRATIA, rev. Britannia seated right with trident and shield, incuse line on saltire of shield, legend and toothed border surrounding, BRITANNIAR: REX: FID: DEF:, emblems in exergue, 18.45g (Peck 1457; S.3845). Light magenta tone in recesses, a superb piece, graded by NGC as PF66 BN.

NGC Certification 6318992-011

The Latin legends translate as on the obverse "William the Fourth by the grace of God" and on the reverse "King of the Britains, Defender of the Faith."
