Description

PF66 BN | Victoria (1837-1901), bronzed proof Penny, 1839, young filleted head left, date below, legend and toothed border surrounding, VICTORIA DEI GRATIA, rev. Britannia seated right with trident and shield, legend and toothed border surrounding, BRITANNIAR: REG: FID: DEF: emblems in exergue, 18.89g (Peck 1479; S.3948). One of the only attainable denominations from Victoria’s immensely popular 1839 proof set, an exceptional grade, certified by NGC as PF66 BN.

NGC Certification 6318992-010

The Latin legends translates on obverse as "Victoria by the Grace of God," and on the reverse "Queen of the Briton's, Defender of the Faith."
