Kings of Macedon, Alexander III the Great (336-323 BC) AR Drachm (Silver, 4.24g, 17mm) Lifetime issue, Sardes, ca 334-323 BC.
Obv: Head of Heracles right, wearing lion skin headdress, paws tied before neck
Rev: AΛEΞANΔPOY, Zeus seated left on backless throne, left leg drawn back, feet on stool, eagle in outstretched right hand, grounded scepter in left; EY monogram in left field, rose below strut.
