BYZANTINE SEALS, Imperial Families. George Palaiologos, protonobelissimos, circa 11th - 12th century. Seal or Bulla (Lead, 19 mm, 5.73 g, 12 h). Rev. KE BOHΘ /ΓΕΩΡΓΙ/ ΑΝΟΒΕΛΙ/CΙΜΩ ΤΩ/ ΠΑΛΕΟΛ/ΓΩ (Lord, help the protonobelissimos George Palaiologos) in six lines, the whole within round dotted border. Very fine.
