Description

Titus, as Caesar, 69-79. Dupondius (Orichalcum, 27 mm, 13.18 g, 5 h), struck in Rome, but for circulation in Syria, 74. T CAESAR IMP PONT Laureate head of Titus to right. Rev. TR POT COS III CE[N]SOR Winged caduceus between crossed cornucopiae. BMC 891. Cohen 326. RIC II.1 761. RPC I 1991 (Antioch). Some cracks in the obverse surfaces; area of roughness on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.

From the Collection of Prof. James M. Collier, acquired from Baldwin's in London in 1972.
