Description

SICILY. Kamarina. Circa 420-405 BC. Tetras or Trionkion (Bronze, 17 mm, 3.88 g, 10 h). Gorgoneion facing. Rev. KAMA Owl standing to right, head facing, clutching lizard by the tail with left talons; in field to right, barley grain; in exergue, three pellets. CNS 6. HGC 2, 546. Westermark & Jenkins 179. Dark green patina. Somewhat rough surfaces, otherwise, very fine.
