MACEDON. Cassandraea. Claudius, 41-54. (Bronze, 22 mm, 7.25 g, 6 h). TI CLA CAESAR AVG GERM P M T P Laureate head of Claudius to left. Rev. COL IVL AVG CASSANDRE Horned head of Zeus-Ammon to left. RPC I 1515B. Very rare and possibly the finest known. A splendid coin with magnificent portraits of Claudius and Zeus-Ammon. Well centered and with fine details. Stunning olive green patina. Nearly extremely fine.
