SICILY. Syracuse. Timoleon and the Third Democracy, 344-317 BC. Hemidrachm (Bronze, 26 mm, 15.60 g, 6 h). ZEYΣ EΛE-[YΘEPIOΣ] Laureate head of Zeus Eleutherios to right. Rev. ΣYP[AKO]-ΣION Thunderbolt; in field to right, eagle with closed wings standing to right. CNS 72. HGC 2, 1440. SNG ANS 477-478. Attractive green patina. Traces of overstriking, otherwise, good very fine.
