Description

GAUL. Massalia. Circa 225-210 BC. Large Bronze (Bronze, 24 mm, 11.88 g, 2 h), Light Series - 10 g, with symbol on the reverse. Laureate head of Apollo to left. Rev. [ΜΑΣΣΑΛΙΗΤΩΝ] Bull butting to right; above, bunch of grapes. BN 1483-1488. F/Py GBM-14-7. Rare. Attractive and clear with a green patina. Minor marks, otherwise, good very fine.
