LUCANIA. Metapontum. Circa 400-340 BC. Nomos or Didrachm (Silver, 20.5 mm, 7.73 g, 1 h). Head of Demeter to right, her hair bound in sphendone. Rev. METAΠΟΝ Ear of barley with a leaf to the right; above leaf, laurel leaf. HN III 1544. Noe 494. Rare issue with laurel leaf. Some roughness on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
