MEROVINGIANS, Indre-et-Loire. Tours (region). Circa 700-750. Denier (Silver, 10.5 mm, 0.85 g). +[...]OIHO around a large pellet surrounded by a ring of perls. Rev. Star with curved ends; one pellet at the centre and five pellets around. Apparently unpublished in the standard references, but published by P. Schiesser (2017), Les Monnaies d'argent de Touraine, p. 155, 178 ( this coin ), and cf. MEC 612 for a similar type withour pellets. Very rare and well-struck. Extremely fine.
