MEROVINGIANS, Indre-et-Loire. Tours(?). Circa 700-750. Denier (Silver, 11 mm, 1.17 g, 10 h). Radiate head to right; behind, S. Rev. Cross on uncertain monogram; to left and right, pellets; below, cross. Apparently unpublished in the standard references, but cf. P. Schiesser (2022), Les trouvailles de deniers mérovingiens (vers 670- vers 750) dans l’Aube, 58 for same reverse. Extremely rare, and possibly unique. Some roughness, otherwise, very fine.
