★ Single Specimen Known - Pedigree to 1928 ★

MEROVINGIANS, Maine-et-Loire. Angers. Circa 560-585. Triens (Gold, 11 mm, 1.41 g, 6 h), Launardus, moneyer. ANDECAVIS Male bust to right. Rev. LAVNARDVS Person (Victory?) standing facing, hands raised and holding palm leaf(?). Belfort -. Depeyrot III, p.10, 3 ( citing this specimen ). MEC -. Prou -. Stahl, Fonds Bourgey, 126 ( this coin ). Extremely rare, only one specimen known. Somewhat weakly struck. Very fine.
