PHOENICIA. Byblos. Uncertain king, circa 420-400. 1/32 Shekel (Silver, 9 mm, 0.39 g, 2 h). Galley to left, with two hoplites; below, hippocamp to left. Rev. Griffin seated to left, raising its right forepaw . BMC pl. XLI, 6 = de Luynes 3155 = Babelon, Perses 1371 = Traité II, 2, 881. Very rare. Sharply struck and toned. Crudely struck on an irregular flan, otherwise, extremely fine.
