M ANTONIVS AVG TR P XXVIII Laureate and cuirassed bust of Marcus Aurelius to right, the cuirass decorated with gorgonaion. Rev. IMP VI COS III Marcus Aurelius standing facing, head left, with branch in right hand and scepter in left. RIC 297. RSC 307. Rare with the cuirass decorated with a gorgonaion, only two other coins like this are known to us (CNG 212e, 2009, 310 and Naumann 30, 2015, 496; both from the same obverse die as our specimen). Very fine.
