BYZANTINE SEALS, Imperial. Nicephorus III Botaniates, 1078-1081. Seal or Bulla (Lead, 29 mm, 19.50 g, 12 h), Constantinople. Bust of Christ Pantokrator facing; in field, IC - XC. Rev. +NIKHΦP ΔECΠT TΩ BOTANIATΩ Nicephorus III, crowned and wearing imperial robes, standing facing, holding labarum and globus cruciger. Zacos 98. Old bang on the reverse, and slightly bent, otherwise, good very fine.
