Description

Italy, Parma. Leo X (Giovanni de’ Medici). 1513-1521. Giulio (Silver, 28mm, 3.81 g 4), 1515. LEO*X*PON**MAX* Bare-headed bust of Leo X to left, wearing elaborate robes. Rev. PARMAE DOMINVS Tiara and crossed keys over shield bearing the Medici arms; in field to left, 1515. Berman 711. CNI IX, p. 413, 6. Muntoni 135. Extremely rare with the date. Nicely toned. Some flatness of striking and very minor flan fault on the obverse, otherwise , nearly extremely fine.
