CALABRIA. Tarentum. Circa 302-280 BC. Didrachm or nomos (Silver, 20 mm, 7.89 g, 12 h), struck under the magistrates Philiarchos, Sa... and Aga.... ΦIΛI-APXOΣ Youthful nude jockey on horse standing right, holding the reins with his left hand and, with his right, a wreath to crown the horse's head; above left, ΣΑ. Rev. TΑΡΑΣ /AΓA Phalanthos seated astride dolphin to left, holding bunch of grapes in his right hand. HN III 960. SNG ANS 1052. Vlasto 673-5. Well-centered. About extremely fine.
