Description
THRACE. Maroneia. 1st century BC. (Bronze, 15.5 mm, 3.54 g, 12 h). Wreathed head of Dionysos to right. Rev. [ΜΑ]ΡΩΝΙΤΩ[Ν] Dionysos standing facing, head left, holding grape bunch in right hand, narthex stalks in left. HGC 3.2, 1541. Schönert-Geiss 1637 (V97/R114). Green patina. Very fine.
