THRACE. Maroneia. 1st century BC. (Bronze, 17.5 mm, 6.77 g, 12 h). Wreathed head of Dionysos to right. Rev. ΜΑΡΩΝΙΤΩ[Ν] Dionysos standing facing, head left, holding grape bunch in right hand, narthex stalks in left. HGC 3.2, 1541. Cf. Schönert-Geiss 1593-4 (V67/R-). Dark brown patina. Unusually fine condition and style for type. Very fine.
