THRACE. Chersonesos. Circa 386-338 BC. Hemidrachm (Silver, 12.5 mm, 2.34 g, 3 h), Contemporary imitation. Forepart of a lion to left, his head turned back to right. Rev. Quadripartite incuse square with two raised and two sunken squares; in one of the sunken squares, grape bunch; in the other, rayed pellet. Cf. BMC 11. Cf. McClean 4079. Cf. Weber 2419and 2434 (all with lion to right). An interesting ancient copy, not plated. Toned. Lightly porous. Very fine.
