Description

Florian, 276. Medallion (Bronze, 30 mm, 22.03 g, 6 h), with remains of original gilding, Rome. IMP C M ANN FLORIANVS AVG Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Florian to right. Rev. MONETA AVG The three Monetae standing facing, their heads to left, each holding a cornucopia with her left hand and a scale over a pile of coins with her right. BN 1885. Gnecchi II, p. 115, 2 and pl. 118, 9. RIC online temp 4212. Very rare. Of remarkably fine quality, sharp, very well-struck and with a powerful portrait. Very minor flan cracks, otherwise, extremely fine.
