Mithradates VI Eupator, Circa 120-63 BC. Stater (Gold, 19 mm, 8.43 g, 12 h), Pergamon, month IΓ =13 of the Pontic-Bithynian year ΓKΣ =223 = September - October 74. Diademed head of Mithradates VI to right. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ / ΜΙΘΡΑΔΑΤΟΥ / ΕΥΠΑΤΟΡΟΣ Stag grazing to right; to left, star over crescent; to right, ΓKΣ below star in crescent; below inscription, IΓ; to right two monograms; all within wreath of ivy and fruits. Callataÿ Supp. fig. 1. Well-centered on a tight flan and with a good portrait. Somewhat rough surfaces, probably found in the sea, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
