Description
Alexius III Angelus-Comnenus, 1195-1203. Aspron Trachy (Bronze, 25 mm, 2.67 g, 6 h), Constantinople, 1195-1197. + KE BOH-ΘEI/ IC XC Nimbate facing bust of young Jesus Christ. Rev. Alexius and St. Constantine standing facing, holding labara and a globus cruciger between them. DOC 3. SB 2012. Clear and attractive. A superior example. Minor flan fault on the obverse, otherwise, good very fine.
