LUCANIA. Metapontum. Circa 300-250 BC. Chalkous (Bronze, 15 mm, 2.87 g, 10 h). Ivy-wreathed head of Dionysos to left. Rev. META Ear of barley with leaf to right; above leaf, cross-torch. HN III 1683. Johnston, Bronze, 47. SNG ANS 593. Attractive green-brown patina. Good very fine.
From an old collection in Davos, Grisons, formed before the 1990s.
