LUCANIA. Metapontum. Circa 300-250 BC. Chalkous (Bronze, 15.5 mm, 2.75 g, 12 h). Laureate head of Apollo to left. Rev. ΜΕΤΑ Grain ear with leaf to left; to right, tripod. HN III 1675. Johnston 40. SNG ANS 596-7. Attractive, sharp and with a brown patina. Flan crack at 8h, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
