KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III 'the Great' (336-323 BC). Drachm. (16mm, 4.14 g) Abydos mint. Obv: Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin. Rev: AΛEΞANΔPOY. Zeus seated left on throne, holding eagle and sceptre. Controls: In left field, lion standing right, head left; ivy leaf below throne.
