Queen’s South Africa, 1899-1902, 2nd type reverse with ghosted dates, 6 clasps, Cape Colony, Driefontein, Johannesburg, Diamond Hill, Belfast, South Africa 1901, some rivets unofficial (69626 Gnr: W. Kemp, R.F.A.), scratch to obverse portrait, suspension a touch loose and once repinned, about very fine thus Gunner William Kemp was born c.1880 at Abingdon, Hampshire, and enlisted for service as Gunner with the Royal Artillery on 28 November 1888. After a period of 6 and a half years in India he to travelled to South Africa to serve in the Boer War, and is confirmed on the Q.S.A. Medal Roll with entitlement as above. He retired from further service on 20 December 1901.
