*William III, Recoinage of 1695-96: Charles I, Oxford mint, halfcrown, 1644, m.m. Oxford plume on obverse, rev., large Oxford plume between two smaller plumes above Declaration, large date in script and .ox. below, 14.87g (cf Brooker 907, from different reverse die), officially pierced in the centre during the recoinage of 1695-96, good fine. Provenance: Beaumont family Collection.
