★ A beautifully toned denarius from the Eravisci ★
CELTIC, Middle Danube. Eravisci. Mid to late 1st century BC. Denarius (Silver, 18 mm, 3.53 g, 12 h). Head of Juno Sospita to right, wearing goat skin headdress; behind, branch. Rev. Female standing left, feeding serpent to left; to right, four small pellets around large pellet; pseudo-legend in exergue. 1575. KMW 1574-7. Beautifully toned and unusually attractive. Struck from the usual somewhat worn dies, otherwise, good very fine.
