★ Beautifully toned and in exceptional condition ★

PHOENICIA. Tyre. 126/5 BC-AD 65/6. Shekel (Silver, 25 mm, 14.15 g, 1 h), CY 172 = AD 46/7. Laureate head of Melkart to right, lion skin tied around neck. Rev. TYP[OY] IEPAΣ KAI AΣYΛOY Eagle standing left on prow, palm frond in background; to left, ΡΟΒ above club; to right, KP above monogram; between the eagle's legs, 𐤁 (B in Punic). DCA Tyre 645. HGC 10, 357. RPC I 4672. Beautifully toned and attractive, an exceptional example. Some light deposits and minor marks, otherwise, good very fine.

From an old Swiss collection, formed in the 1970s.
