PHOENICIA. Tyre. 126/5 BC-AD 65/6. Half Shekel (Silver, 19 mm, 6.87 g, 1 h), CY 140 = AD 14/5. Laureate head of Melkart to right, lion skin tied around neck. Rev. TYPOY IEPAΣ KAI AΣYΛOY Eagle standing left on prow with palm frond behind; in field to left, PM above club; in field to right, monogram; between the eagle's legs, Punic 'bet'. DCA 922. HGC 10, 358. Struck from slightly worn dies, otherwise, very fine.

From an old Swiss collection, formed in the 1970s.
