★ A nicely toned Knidian drachm ★

CARIA. Knidos. Circa 411-405/4 BC. Drachm (Silver, 17 mm, 6.20 g, 3 h). Forepart of a roaring lion to right. Rev. Head of Aphrodite to right, her hair bound in sphendone, wearing a plain necklace; to left; A; all within incuse square. Cahn 93 (V45/R63). SNG Copenhagen 252 ( same dies ). Nicely toned. Very fine.
