ATTICA. Athens. Circa 165-42 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 32 mm, 16.80 g, 1 h), circa 165-150/49. Head of Athena Parthenos to right, wearing triple-crested Attic helmet adorned with Pegasos. Rev. A-ΘE Owl standing facing on Amphora inscribed with A; in fields to left and right, two monograms; to lower left, cicada; all within olive-wreath. Thompson 65. A lovely and nicely toned example. Minor deposits, otherwise, good very fine.
