ISLAMIC, Persia (Pre-Seljuq). Samanids. Nuh II ibn Mansur, AH 365-387 / AD 976-997. Heavy Dinar (Gold, 24 mm, 5.33 g, 4 h), citing al-Wali Husam al-Dawla, Nishapur, AH 372 = AD 982/3. Album 1468. Rare. An unusually heavy example. Some areas of weakness and the flan slightly wavy, otherwise, about very fine.
