ISLAMIC, Persia (Pre-Seljuq). Ghaznavids. Yamin al-Dawla Abu'l-Qasim Mahmud, AH 388-421 / AD 998-1030. Heavy Dinar (Gold, 26 mm, 5.28 g, 2 h), Nishapur, AH 399 = AD 1008/9. Album 1606. An unusually heavy example. Struck from worn dies, otherwise, very fine.
