LUCANIA. Metapontion. Circa 330-290 BC. Didrachm or Nomos (Silver, 20 mm, 7.84 g, 6 h). Head of Demeter to left, wearing wreath of grain ears, triple pendant earring and pearl necklace. Rev. META Ear of barley with leaf to left; above leaf, alabastron; below leaf, ΔI. HN Italy 1587. Johnston Class C, 11.10. Minor flan fault on the obverse, otherwise, good very fine.
