Description
Uncertain, 6th-7th centuries. Seal (Lead, 20 mm, 9.41 g, 12 h). The Mother of God holding infant Christ, both nimbate; cross to her left and right. Rev. Cruciform monogram consisting of E, Θ, TOV, M and AⲰ. Unpublished in the standard references. Good very fine.
From an important collection of Roman and Byzantine seals, tesserae and amulets, formed before 2021.
