THRACE. Mesambria. Circa 2nd-1st century BC. AE (Bronze, 19 mm, 5.78 g, 12 h), a contemporary imitation. Diademed head of a female to right. Rev. ΜΙΠΙΠΑΝ-ΡΙΛΝΩИ Athena Alkidemos striding left, holding shield on her left arm and brandishing a thunderbolt with her right hand. Cf. SNG BM Black Sea 280 (for prototype). Rare. Minor traces of corrosion, otherwise, about extremely fine.
