Description

INDIA, Post-Mauryan (Punjab). Taxila (local coinage). Circa 2nd century BC. AE (Bronze, 18.18 mm, 10.48 g, 10 h), Taxila city state (Pushkalavati). Elephant to right; above, three-arched hill. Rev. Lion standing left; above, swastika; to left, three-arched hill surmounted by crescent. HGC 12, 772. Repatinated and with a bang at the edge, otherwise, about very fine.
