SICILY. Leontini. Circa 450-440 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 25 mm, 16.63 g, 12 h). Laureate head of Apollo to right. Rev. ΛEO-N-T-INON Head of a lion with open jaws to right; around, four barley grains. Boehringer, Münzgeschichte, 37 ( same obverse die ). HGC 2, 667. SNG ANS 225. Light cleaning scratches, otherwise, about very fine.
