★ A beautifully toned drachm from the Insubres ★
SOUTHERN GAUL. Insubres. Late 2nd-early 1st century BC. Drachm (Silver, 16 mm, 3.14 g, 11 h), imitating Massalia. Female head to right, wearing triple-pendant earring and necklace. Rev. MAΣΣA Lion walking right. CCCBM II S17. LT 2126. Beautifully toned. About extremely fine.
From a Bavarian Collection, formed in the early 2000s.
