Miliaresion (Silver, 21 mm, 1.32 g), an early imitation of a miliaresion of Basil II Bulgaroktonos with Constantine VIII (976-1025). Cross crosslet with central X and pellet-in-crescent set upon globus on four steps; to left and right, crowned facing busts of Basil II and Constantine VIII; around, imitative legend. Rev. Imitative legend. Zeno-8459 ( this coin ). Lightly toned and unusually attractive. Very fine.
