ISLAMIC, 'Abbasid Caliphate. al-Rashid, AH 170-193 / AD 786-809. Dirham (Silver, 26 mm, 2.90 g), citing caliph Harun al-Rashid, Madinat al-Salam, AH 170 = AD 786/7. Rev. 'Mima amara abd Allah Harun Amir al-Mu'minin' (ordered by the servant of Allah, Harun, Commander of the Faithful' in Kufic). SICA III, 1652. Nicely toned. A few marks, otherwise, extremely fine.
