★ A sharply struck 'Abbasid dinar ★
ISLAMIC, 'Abbasid Caliphate. temp. Al-Rashid, AH 170-193 / AD 786-809. Dinar (Gold, 19 mm, 4.22 g, 1 h), citing the governor of Egypt Ali ibn Sulayman, without mint, struck in Misr, AH 170 = AD 786/7. Bernardi 73. A very attractive and sharply struck example. Minor edge scuff, otherwise, good extremely fine.
